Trisuli is the most accessible river from major tourist cities of Nepal, more over it is located among Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan, and so, anyone can have rafting experience in Trisuli River easily. The rafting goes through the most scenic and secluded miles featuring incredibly blue water, breath-taking alpine scenery and amazing rapids cutting through some of the most varied geology.
Trishuli River is graded to be class III and romantic River for rafters. This is the most popular rafting river in Nepal, due to its close proximity to the road of Kathmandu, Pokhara and chitwan. The bright green river no doubt offers a great scenery, impressive gorges and exciting rapids. And we can do rafting even for one day in this river and we can combine this rafting trip with your trekking, tour and Chitwan Jungle safari as well.
Trisuli river day trip- we drive to Charaundi, our put-in point which takes about 3 hours from Kathmandu, so, in the morning, after having breakfast at your hotel, we start our drive by tourist bus or private vehicle ( according to your need) and we will have rafting about 3 hours in trisuli – we will have lunch by stopping in the bank of the river which will be very fun and after finishing the rafting then we drive to Kathmadu, pokhara or chitwan – where you have planned to go after this day trip.
ay 01. Drive to Rafting Starting Point and Rafting:
We will drive to charaudi/farting starting point after having breakfast at your hotel by tourist bus or private vehicle (according to your need) which takes approximately 3hrs, after the crew assembles the raft, our guide will explain the safety equipment and proper procedures. During the day, we run a numbers of rapids, that rate to 2 to 3. All the rapids have been given Nepali and English names: our guide can relate the story behind each one. We lunch on a beach remarkable for its unique sculptured boulders. Shortly after lunch, we enter the Trishuli gorge. As the canyon narrows the walls becomes steep, densely, forested, the current accelerates and the rapids increase in the size and frequency. This is the time to hang on. After such a stimulating experience, it is humbling to see a Majhi (Fisherman) building his precarious traps in such turbulence. Our last rapid, Jholungepul, is named for an extensive suspension bridge. Here we often encounter an enthusiastic audience, we camp at the bank of the river or overnight at resort.
Day 02. Rafting and drive to Kathmandu, Pokhara or chitwan:
Our second day of this adventure has a leisurely pace. After Breakfast, we continue down the Trishuli stopping to suit our interests. We spend the whole day within its forested canyon- one of the many in the Mahabharat ranges. We will have lunch beside the river and have time to explore bird watching, photograph and learn about the local people. The area is inhabited by Magars and Gurung farmers, trip finish then we drive to Kathmandu, Pokhara or chitwan
